To Cultivate a Heart of Thankfulness

By looking for your graceful movement

In every circumstance.

Today we thank you, Lord,

For milky smiles at the breakfast table

For freshly pressed uniforms and combed hair

For the simple pleasures of morning life together.

You grant us treasures everyday:

Wrapped gifts of holy in the middle of our common.

Here we were talking about saying grace and you crafted a gorgeous one all your own.

Love this. So much. “Milky smiles” – what a great phrase.

We’re working on a poetry unit and I keep telling my students to just give it a try. Yesterday I finally took my own advice. :)

Well-done. I admire both your poetry and your poster boy.

I’m with Cheri. “wrapped gifts of holy in the middle of our common” was my favorite part! Well that, and the adorable face to the left of this post. =)
